As a firm believer of a healthy mind in a healthy body, I try to reflect this in my lifestyle. Working out, healthy cooking, and gardening are firmly implemented in my daily routine. For reading I am a big nerd for board games and fantasy books, and can spend hours devouring whole series or playing with friends. Travelling is a big part of my life as well. So far I have seen the bigger part of Europe, Australia, New Zealand and a big chunk of Asia. Next on the list is America, North, South, we'll see...

Java EE Developer • December 2020
This awesome one-year course on Java EE has given me the perfect basis for starting a career in development. After spending a year learning, coding and just having fun, I now know a programming job will be just perfect for me. During my time at Intec, I also learned a lot about distributed systems and how to set them up and how security in general works. Thanks to a great teacher who had a background as a system administrator. Both learning processes were smooth and fulfilling.
Chef • January 2016
Looking for fulfilling job that would allow me to travel the world easily, I studied to be a chef for 3 years, while working full time at the swimming pool. This was an amazing experience that taught me how to work precise and fast.
Bachelor Mathematics • June 2011
Being impatient to discover the world and to start working. after finishing my second year, I quit and went to work as a lifeguard. It was here I had my first contact with programming, in Python.
Junior Developer • January 2021 - Present
This last half year, working for Goca, has been an incredible boost of knowledge and skills for me. I have learned Bash scripting, and so much about linux. my Java programming skills have increased tremendously. I have had a course in Angular framework and Typescript and had the pleasure of working on a big project under direct supervision of a senior developer. The second big project I worked on was the creation, atomisation and deployment of a java program for monitoring the data flow of the company. Working with different programs, databases, networks, operating systems. It was an amazing project that gave me a deeper understanding of how big information systems work (or don't) on a day to day basis
Chef de Partie • December2018 - August 2019
While working as Chef de Partie for a very nice restaurant in Paris. I greatly enhanced my skills as a team leader. Being responsible for my own (small) team, I learned how to cope with high levels of stress and pressure, while still delivering high quality work.
Chef • January 2018 - September 2018
Working in a very high end restaurant in the beautiful town of Arrowtown, I learned a lot about modern cuisine and the finer traits of cooking.
Junior Chef • june 2016 -August 2017
As my first job as a chef, I had a really great time in this awesome small restaurant, working with an amazing team.
Lifeguard • september 2011 - june 2016
Working as a lifeguard, aside from being a really cool experience, allowed me to continue working as a swimming coach in my local swimming club. I had been doing this since I was 15 and I really fell in love with it from the start. by the end I was the head coach of my division, with three coaches and about eighty kids to teach, maintaining schedules and working out year-to-year plans for the club.
Next up is a summary of all the skills I gathered the last few years, ONLY concerning programming.
Currently looking to settle in Bordeaux with my girlfriend, who also is a developer (fullstack web developer to be specific). As a junior developer I am looking to improve my programming skills, and to work in a motivated and vibrant team. I have always found a lot of pleasure in learning and trying new things and I feel there is no challenge to great for me to handle. I am currently working on improving my skills in bash scripting, the linux OS and new programming languages like Python.
